We stayed at Barrakee Ski Lodge after reading TRIPADVISOR. We'll go back, snow or no snow, the FOOD and SERVICE is sensational.
Can't really say enough about the staff here. They just never stop smiling and you can't help feeling it's actually genuine.
If you could close your eyes & conjure up the perfect ski chalet, this would be it! Crackling log fire, comfortable lounges, raked ceilings & friendly, attentive staff.
The rooms are spacious, even with a king-sized bed, & the ensuite bathrooms look brand new.
On arrival we were introduced to all of the staff..and the guests!!... something you don't get in a hotel.
The oversnow transport service offered by the staff is just perfect.
The only sad thing for us is that it took us almost 25 years to find Barrakee!!
We have just returned from 5 nights at Barrakee Lodge and it so exceeded our expectations that we extended our stay an extra night.
The food is amazing, better than you will find in the best of restaurants.
This place is the total package.
I have never experienced such hospitality in any lodge in my 8 years of snowy holidays in NSW.
